Standing there and seeing nothing?

  • verified. Transcribed from a primary source: a Blizzard post, patch note, or the game itself. This quest's markers are on 2 maps: Durotar, Tiragarde Keep.
  • practice. Convention among strong players. Widely followed, but it is not a rule and it can be wrong.Open your own quest log map. If the game draws no marker there, you are not in the phase for it, and that is definitive. Trust the game over us, and tell us in the comments so we can record it.

What To Do

Complete the quest objective shown in your tracker in Durotar, then return to the turn-in NPC.

Quest Text

Tiragarde Keep lies to the southeast of here, on Durotar's eastern shore. You probably passed it on your trip from Sen'jin Village. This castle has been a thorn in my side for too long. Humans from Kul Tiras lived in the castle for years, thwarting my every attempt to crush them. When the cataclysm hit us, the shore was wiped out, along with the castle and all the humans. However, these upstarts from Northwatch have moved in to take their place! <Gar'Thok roars in aggravation.>

Group size

No group size is listed by Blizzard, so this is usually soloable unless the objective text says otherwise.

Pin the quest in-game, enable objective outlines, then use the exact-title references in the archive for NPC or object coordinates. Add a correction below if the live game differs from this record.

Field notes

Objectives and map pin

Blizzard's public API publishes a quest's text and rewards but not its objectives, its own level, whether it can be shared, or any map coordinate. Nobody has synced quest 25173 yet, so there is nothing to show here rather than a guess. Running the WowGodSync addon while you play contributes those fields for everyone.

Have I done this?

Check it in game

Quest completion is stored per character on Blizzard's side and is not in the public API, so paste this in your chat box and it prints true or false for “From Bad to Worse” on the character you are logged into.

Completion check
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(25173))
Warband-wide check (11.0+)
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompletedOnAccount(25173))

A false also comes back for a quest id the client does not know, so it means “not recorded as complete” rather than proof the quest exists on your account.
