Quest Text
<The posted sign is written in hasty scratches.> Expedition members have reported a Primalist attack on the Ruby Life Pools, threatening the destruction of countless artifacts stored by our dragon allies there. Toddy and Naleidea urge all combat-ready members to join the fight, and seek out the Ruby Lifeband if you are able. It is a unique, priceless artifact that must be preserved. If acquired, please deliver to Cataloger Jakes for safekeeping until the dragons may safely retrieve it.
Plan the run before you travel
Check the quest area, faction, and level range before you travel. If this quest is part of a chain, finish nearby campaign quests in the same zone first.
Check the exact quest giver and turn-in records above first. Use this page's community comments for phase changes, cave entrances, spawn timing, and corrections from the live game.
No group size is listed by Blizzard, so this is usually soloable unless the objective text says otherwise.
Pin the quest in-game, enable objective outlines, then use the exact-title references in the archive for NPC or object coordinates. Add a correction below if the live game differs from this record.
Objectives and map pin
Blizzard's public API publishes a quest's text and rewards but not its objectives, its own level, whether it can be shared, or any map coordinate. Nobody has synced quest 70997 yet, so there is nothing to show here rather than a guess. Running the WowGodSync addon while you play contributes those fields for everyone.
Check it in game
Quest completion is stored per character on Blizzard's side and is not in the public API, so paste this in your chat box and it prints true or false for “Wanted: Ruby Lifeband” on the character you are logged into.
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(70997))/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompletedOnAccount(70997))A false also comes back for a quest id the client does not know, so it means “not recorded as complete” rather than proof the quest exists on your account.
